What is Moment?

Moment is a gifting platform that allows users to send thoughtful, curated gifts to recipients. It simplifies the gifting process with a wide selection of high-quality products and easy delivery options, with no mailing address required. Moment doesn’t require any order minimums, making it easy to send one-off gifts to any recipient that fits within any budget. This way, you can make a big impact in as little time as possible!

How does Moment work?

Moment allows users to browse a curated selection of gifts, choose an item, and have it sent directly to a recipient. The sender can either allow the recipient to pick from a curated collection with an allotted budget, or they can send a single gift. The recipient will then receive an email to accept the gift or swap for a gift within the same budget and provide their shipping details.

What types of gifts are available?

Moment offers a variety of premium gifts, including home goods, accessories, tech gadgets, wellness products, and more. No junky swag here, folks. We curate our gift selection to be thoughtful, on-trend, and high-quality.

Is Moment available internationally?

Moment is currently only available in the U.S., but international gifting may be supported on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at Hi@moment.cloveandtwine.com for international gifting questions.

Can I customize my gift with my company’s logo?

No. With Moment, our ordering process is as streamlined as possible. Since customization is an added step (that requires additional time and attention), it is not offered through this platform. However, if you’re seeking customized gifts, visit our parent company Clove & Twine, and submit an inquiry! We love customizing stuff over there.

What is the process for sending a gift?

1. You choose a gift or curated collection and the budget.
2. You enter the recipient’s email address and submit through our platform.
3. The recipient then opens the email, clicks to accept the gift, and provides their preferred shipping address
4. You sit back, relax, and we take care of the rest!

What does Clove & Twine have to do with Moment?

Clove & Twine is the parent company of Moment. Clove & Twine provides a hands-on corporate gifting experience focused on larger, more customizable orders. We added Moment as another branch to make high-quality, thoughtful corporate gifts available in any quantity, and accessible to all.

Account & Setup

How do I create an account?

To create an account, simply sign up on the Moment platform using your email and set a password. You will receive an email confirmation to walk you through the next steps.

What can I do with an account? 

Having an account allows you to manage your orders, save recipient information, track past gifts, and enjoy a smoother checkout process overall. The benefits are the same as asking a friend for help instead of a stranger - they know from experience what you want to accomplish, so you can be helped more effectively!

How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password by selecting "Forgot Password" on the login page and following the prompts.

How do I update my account information?

Click on the person icon in the top right corner of the screen and go to “My Profile” to update your account information.

Sending Gifts

How do I send a gift?

Browse the Moment catalog, select a gift, and provide the recipient’s contact information (email address). The recipient will receive an email with instructions on how to accept the gift.

You can also start with one of our curated collections and set your budget option for that collection.

Can I send gifts to multiple recipients at once?

Yes. Send alllllll the gifts you want! You can even upload a spreadsheet of names and email addresses to send gifts to the whole list at once.

Can I schedule a gift delivery for a future date?

Yes and no. You can schedule a Moment to send the email on a future date. However, once the email is sent and the recipient redeems the gift, the order will shipped at that time. Delivery will be determined by the timing of when the gift is redeemed, so just the email can be scheduled to be sent ahead of time.

What happens if my recipient does not accept the gift?

If the recipient doesn’t accept the gift, you will be notified via email. You may choose to resend the original gift, select an alternative, or let it slide! Only your recipient misses out on your awesome gift. You won’t be charged for the unredeemed item.

Receiving Gifts

How does the recipient accept their gift?

The recipient will receive an email with a link to accept their gift. They can then provide a delivery address for shipping.

What if the recipient doesn’t want the gift?

Talk about looking a gift horse in its mouth! Eh, that’s okay, it happens. If they don’t want the gift, they can simply choose to ignore the email. You won’t be charged a dime! Their loss!

Or, recipients can swap for another gift up to the original gift’s budget

You can send the recipient a reminder email about their gift from the track page. And again, if they choose to ignore it, that’s their prerogative. You won’t be charged, and they won’t receive a gift. Easy peasy!

Shipping & Delivery

How long does delivery take?

Delivery typically takes 7-10 business days on average, depending on the recipient’s location. Delivery will only occur after a recipient takes action to redeem their gift.

What are the shipping costs?

Shipping costs are displayed next to the product’s price. The shipping cost icon is a cute little delivery truck. Shipping cost is not determined by the recipient’s address - we calculate a flat rate cost to make budgeting for gifts easier on your end.

Can I track my order?

Yes! Once the recipient accepts the gift and provides their shipping address, you will receive tracking information for the order.

What happens if my gift is lost or damaged during shipping?

If your gift is lost or damaged, please contact customer support (support@moment.cloveandtwine.com) to resolve the issue.

Payment & Billing

What payment methods are accepted?

Moment accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

When will I be charged for my order?

Your card will be charged upon the acceptance of the gift by your recipient or recipients. Final pricing will be determined based on the tax rates for the final shipping address and the final gift selection.

If you have uploaded a list of recipients, your card will be batch-charged up to two times per week for however many recipients redeemed gifts before that time. For example, if you upload a list of 100 recipients, and 25 recipients redeem gifts immediately, then the first batch charge will go through on your card for just those 25 gifts. After that time, you’ll be charged accordingly in batches (up to two times per week) as people continue to redeem their gifts.

Is there a way to apply discount codes or promotions?

Yes, if you have a discount code, you can apply it during the checkout process on the checkout page

Corporate Gifting

What is corporate gifting on Moment?

Corporate gifting allows businesses to send curated gifts to employees, clients, or partners through the Moment platform.

How do I set up a corporate gifting account?

Returns & Refunds

Can my recipient return or exchange a gift after it has been received?

No. We do however provide refunds if the product is damaged or defective, or provide a replacement if available. If the product is damaged or defective, we will do our best to replace the gift for your recipient through our available channels. If for any reason a replacement is not possible, we will refund you (the sender) the amount charged. Other than these circumstances, a recipient cannot return or exchange a gift after its been received.

Privacy & Security

Is my personal information secure?

Yes, Moment takes data privacy and security very seriously. You and your recipient's personal information are encrypted and stored securely. We never share or sell your recipient’s personal information with the intent to market to them, only to use it to fulfill their gift. See more information in our PRIVACY POLICY.

How is payment information handled?

Payment information is processed through Stripe, a secure, PCI-compliant payment gateway, and is not stored on Moment’s servers.

What data is shared with the recipient?

Only the necessary information for delivering the gift, such as the sender’s name and the gift details, is shared with the recipient.
